Abstract

Recently, maize streaked dwarf disease on maize plants occurred in Tohoku district. Rice black-streaked dwarf virus was found in diseased maize plants with dwarf and enation symptoms from the field in Tohoku National Agricultural Experiment Station (Shimokuriyagawa, Morioka-shi) in autumn, 1982. There was a tendency that foreign varieties of maize plants were more susceptible than native varieties.
