Abstract
Cabbage was grown in three different seasons in central Hokkaido, and was sprayed according to a customary spray schedule for each cropping season and the use of 2 visual damage thresholds. When damage to cabbage was assesed by using a threshold of 1 new hole/plant, there were reductions of 1-2 sprays from a customary spray schedule but less than 10% losses in marketable yield.
