Abstract
Some methods for testing an attraction activity of a sex pheromone of Trigonotylus caelestialium were investigated. Laboratory tests using a glass tube wind tunnel, net cage, and flask did not reveal an attraction activity for females or their body extracts. In field tests, synthetic compounds of sex pheromone, a mixture of hexyl caproate and (E)-2-hexenyl caproate, showed an attraction activity, although the body extracts by hexane did not show such an activity.
