Abstract
Previously undescribed diseases occurring on hellebore (Helleborus spp.) and rock isotome (Laurentia axillaris) were found in Yamagata. Two isolates obtained from these plants demonstrated pathogenicity to each host plant by inoculation tests. The two isolates were identified as Botrytis cinerea based on morphological and cultural characteristics. This is the first report of gray mold on hellebore and rock isotome in Japan.
