Abstract
The effects of thiram on seed decay and seedling blight of adzuki bean caused by Pythium species were investigated in a field trial and a container test. Seeds of adzuki bean cv. Hokkai-shiroshozu, Toiku No.146, Tokei No.837 and Erimo-shozu were coated with 40% flowable thiram or 80% wettable thiram powder at the rate of 2% and 0.5% of the seed weight, respectively. Thiram was effective in reducing seed decay and seedling blight of adzuki bean.
