Abstract
A small sample study of comparative measurement for cardiac enlargement by means of direct roentgenography and fluorography was presented. The purpose of the study was to determine the possibility of an application of fluorography in the field work of heart disease, control program. As the conclusion, there was a significant difference of variance among the direct roentgenographic, fluorographic measurements of 60×60mm and 35mm miniature size. However, no significant difference was found among various diameter ratio in three groups, while a slight measurement error for particular diameter should be expected. In addition, comparative observation on diameter ratio between cardiac patients and healthy subjects revealed that the former has larger ratios in which contain Lb, or Mr as a denominator, than the latter.
