Abstract
There is at present no conclusive evidence for any direct action of chemiacl agents which induce the excitation of Pacinian corpuscle.
So we tried a screening test what drugs did elicite the action potential most remarkablly.
1) Adrenalin, Acetylcholine, Serotonin (5HT) and Bradykinin in concentration as low as from 10-5 to 10-7 elicited many repetitive discharges of Pacinian corpuscle by means of both intra arterial injection and direct injection in the inner bulb.
2) Krebs' solution at 5°C induced numerous firing too.
3) It was concluded that all agents which elicited repetitive discharges had relation to the change of membrane permeability and vessel contraction and dilatation.
