Abstract
The fluorite (CaF2) is able to transmit the light of the wide range from the vacuum ultraviolet limits to the infrared limits. It was used for the lens material for the high-class camera until today, but recently attention is attracted as a lens material of the lithography device for the semiconductor. In this report, the crystalline structure, the optical quality and crystal growth of fluoride crystal are introduced. Recently a very unique optical character was discovered, it is introduced simply.
