Experimental techniques are described for recording hologram in methylene blue sensitized dichromated gelatin with various wavelengths. 457.9 nm, 488.0 nm and 514.5 nm light from an argon laser and 632.8 nm light from a He-Ne laser are used to record the hologram. The methods of optimum processing of the plate are discussed and the diffraction efficiency and wavelength selectivity are measured for the transmission and Lippmann holograms. The results are applied to color holography. A reconstructed image of three-dimensional object from Lippmann color hologram is presented.
