Holotrichia vethi Moser is transferred to the genus Miridiba. Comparison of the type series of H. vethi with 6 species of the genus Miridiba from the Malay Peninsula, Sunda Archipelago and Laos revealed that it is most closely allied to M. malaccensis. The differences between M. vethi and M. malaccensis were tabulated.
