Abstract
One new hoplid beetle is described from Taiwan under the name of Hoplia guandaoshana sp. nov. Hoplia monticola Y. Miyake, 1986 is regarded as a junior synonym of H. nengkaoshana nengkaoshana Y. Miyake, 1986. Pseudohoplia shibatai Y. Miyake, 1986, is transferred to the genus Hoplia. Pseudohoplia shibatai yushana Y. Miyake, 1986, and P. shibatai matsudai Y. Miyake, 1986 are regarded as junior synomyms of H. shibatai shibatai (Y. Miyake, 1986). A key to the Taiwanese species of Hoplia is provided.
