Abstract
We look back on the past ten years of ICT(Information and Communication Technology)education and make a survey of its progress. Firstly we review the history and educational goals of information study in high school. With those in mind, we discuss the issues and problems in ICT education today, which include how we can deal with those who are recently referred to as ‘digital natives’. Moreover, information ethics, which is prerequisite for the participation in the highly advanced ICT society, will also be discussed. Finally few topics on the computerization in the upcoming ICT education will be introduced in some respects.
