Nectar Sucking Behavior and Characteristics of Echium candicans Honey by the Colony of Apis mellifera around the Covered Greenhouse

We investigated the nectar sucking behavior to cultivated Echium candicans under the covered greenhouse and characteristics of Echium candicans honey by the colony of European honeybee（ Apis mellifera） around the covered greenhouse. Nectar sucking behavior of the European honeybee to Echium candicans were observed under the covered greenhouse. The sugar content（ Brix） of Echium candicans honey was 83.3%. In this study, the possibility of the production of monofloral honey as a main honey source of Echium candicans was suggested by the European honeybee hive around the cultivated flowering Echium candicans under the covered greenhouse.
