Ephestia kueniella eggs (1300-1400 in number) prasitized by Trichogramma dendrolimi, reared on wheat grains, were released four times in a green pepper cultivated vinyl house (5×20m) to control the eggs of Helicoverpa assulta which had been released for oviposition. The damage of green peppers in the released house was 80% of that in wasp-unreleased house. Parasitized eggs of H. assulta were found on green peppers at the various distances from the released point, which are as follows: 35 and 79% of the total number of discovered parasitized eggs within 2.5m and 5m, respectively, and 3% at 15m as the most distant place. The above results show that practical control could be achieved within 5m from the wasp-released point.
