A study on the change of ‘United Church of Christ in Japan, Yatsushiro Church’ and the architectural character of the church architecture

Abstract

The church architecture of ‘United Church of Christ in Japan, Yatsushiro Church’ is a historic building in Yatsushiro where Christian culture is rich. But it is not yet evaluated. A purpose of this study is to evaluate this church architecture. This paper divides the history of the Yatsushiro Church into four, the days of propagation, the first, the second and the third. And it clarifies the change and the architectural character in each time.
