Abstract
In a patient with Wilson's disease presented transient acute hemolytic episodes twice, hematologic investigations and copper studies were performed at the time of each hemolytic episode. Although it was hypothesized that copper inhibited various erythrocyte enzymes, it was demonstrated in this patient that erythrocyte enzyme activities were normal at the acute stage of hemolytic crisis.
