Enigmatic growth pattern of Myobacterium leprae which had never seen before was observed when the bacilli from a nude mouse were inoculated into ND-15 medium containing malate, tyrosine, and ascorbic acid, and incubated at 30°C for three months. However, many factors to be studied remain, because this feature was quite non-reproducible.
