Abstract
1. This paper deals with the results of the chemical control experiments of the stem rot of the rush plants from 1955 to 1956.
2. Among the chemicals used, Mongare powder and Mongaren (Active-ingredients; Methoxy-ethylmercuric chloride) were found to be most effective for the control of the stem rot of the rush plants, copper chemicals were also to some extent effective.
3. The injurious effect to the rush plants was observed when copper or copper-mercury chemicals were used.
