PARALLEL SUM OF UNBOUNDED POSITIVE OPERATORS

Abstract

For invertible bounded positive operators a, b the operator a : b = (a⁻¹ + b⁻¹)⁻¹ is known as the parallel sum. In this article a theory of parallel sums of unbounded positive self-adjoint operators is developed.
