1. I have recorded in this paper 22 species belonging in 4 families collected from the northern part of the Japan Alps since the previous reports, further I have examined the morphological proportion of the males with both species Actias selene gnoma and Actias artemis aliena collected in the same area. The results of examination are showing Fig 2 and Table 1. 2. The life history of Lithophane rosinae PUNGELER; the biological observations with the larval stages of this moth were carried out from the spring in 1963 to the autumn in 1964 in Omachi-city by the outdoor rearing on Prunus. The life cycle is showing Table 4. The female moths layed eggs at random on the trunk of the food plant, hatching in spring. The larval duration is about 40 days, the grown larva makes the cocoon with fallen leaves or into the ground 2-3 cm, depths and estivate in it on the pre-pupa stage about 2 months in summer. Emergence in autumn and hibernate as it is.
