Loxura cassiopeia Distant was recognized to be confined to Neomalaya, however I have found some specimens belonging to L. Cassiopeia from Palawan and Mindanao, the Philippines, in the collection of the Osaka Museum of Natural History. After a careful study on these specimens, I describe them as two new subspecies.
