Abstract
During my 1981 and 1983 Thai expeditions, I was able to collect seven specimens of the Oriental genus Aeolanthes from the northern province of Chiang Mai with the assistance of my expedition colleagues. These specimens belong to four previously described species, Aeolanthes brochias MEYRICK, A. meniscias MEYRICK, A. deltogramma MEYRICK and A. rhodochrysa MEYRICK, all of which are here recorded from Thailand for the first time. This is the first record of Aeolanthes from Thailand. The specific determinations are based on comparisons of the Thai specimens with the types of the above-mentioned known species preserved in the collection of the British Museum (Natural History), London. These Thai specimens are deposited in the Entomological Laboratory, University of Osaka Prefecture, Sakai, and the Entomology and Zoology Division, Department of Agriculture, Bangkok.
