Abstract
The haploid chromosome number of Luehdorfia longicaudata Lee, 1982, a papilionid of the tribe Zerynthiini, is 30. Three other taxa of this genus possess 30 haploid chromosomes, too (Saitoh et al., 1970, 1971; Saitoh, 1988). This is suggestive of uniformity of the chromosome constitution in this genus, though a few congeners have remained cytologically unexplored.
