Natural hybridization of Papilio memnon (♀) and Papilio helenus (♂) was observed in the butterfly house. The larvae from the female were P. memnon and F_1 hybrid of P. memnon and P. helenus. It is suggested the memnon female copulated with P. memnon before P. helenus and both male parents' spermatozoa were used for fertilisation.
