On the knowledge of the genus Chamanthedon Le Cerf, 1916 (Lepidoptera, Sesiidae, Osminiini) of Vietnam and adjacent countries

Abstract

Two species of the genus Chamanthedon Le Cerf, 1916, namely C. melanoptera Le Cerf, 1927 and C. aurigera (Bryk, 1947) are noted from Vietnam. The latter species is recorded from Vietnam and Thailand for the first time. Descriptions and illustrations of female Chamanthedon, including the genitalia, are presented for the first time. A new species, C. bicincta sp. nov. is described and figured from Myanmar.
