Abstract

Sleeping behavior of the butterfly, Ariadne ariadne pallidior Fruhstorfer (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae) was studied in a greenhouse environment in relation to light intensity and atmospheric temperature. Sleeping behavior was compared between Ariadne ariadne pallidior and Idea leuconoe liukiuensis Holland.
