A new host record of Eupoecilia ambiguella (Hübner, [1796]) (Tortricidae: Tortricinae)

Abstract

The larvae of Eupoecilia ambiguella (Hübner, [1796]) were collected in the fruits of the Dioscorea japonica Thunb. in Ibaraki and Fukuoka Prefectures, Japan, representing the first record of this host by E. ambiguella. We provide brief comments on the biology of E. ambiguella in Japan.
