The purpose of the lesson report is to consider how learners evaluate the efficacy of learning strategies in a syllabus which includes learners’ portfolio. Participants are 17 university students from 1st to 4th graders. They were required to use and acquire the learning strategies sequentially distributed in the syllabus. Pre- and post-questionnaire surveys on their consciousness of the efficacy of learning strategies were conducted. The results of median test showed some strategies were more highly evaluated after the lessons. For further scrutiny, the participants were divided into two groups with cluster analysis. The evaluations of the whole strategies were significantly different between the two groups at the beginning of the course, however, they were not at the end of the lessons. This result suggests a possibility that some learners who underestimate learning strategies come to realize the efficacy when they sequentially distributed to achieve tasks. In conclusion the author presented some suggestions for further research.
