Abstract

A computerized operating device is demanded to prevent medical error, the burden reduction of the nurse, quality improvement of the operation. In this study, a radio frequency identification tag was made from ceramic was developed. For the computerized operating device, the tag was examined a basic characteristic as a sterilization, heat shock, water and ultrasonic and impact. The specification of the ceramic RFID tag can be metal correspondence for made from ceramic. Four experiments were performed to examine the basic characteristic on the assumption clinical situation. As the results, the sterilization characteristic of repetition was 0 % of failure rate. The heating tolerance, the characteristic of ultrasonic exposure in water and shock tolerance were 0 % of failure rate not to be confirmed a transformation and impossibility of communication situation on the ceramic RFID tag. The result of contamination test was that ratio of contamination by the part of attachment with RFID was as same as the crow-bill box rock after washing process at clinical site. In the conclusion, the developed RFID tag which has basic characteristics was indicated possibility to be able to use a medical field.
