Abstract
Recently, M&A between companies that manufacture similar products have been carried out quite often with the intention of improving efficiency. This trend has generated an allocation problem in the facilities, such as which products should be manufactured at which facilities. In this paper, I will address the product allocation problem in order to minimize the total distribution costs for a company that deal with export products and domestic sale products. And I proposed a mathematical formulation and heuristic algorithms for this problem. Finally I made an analysis of actual case data, and calculated the reduction costs by modifying the product allocation to facilities.
