Abstract
As Japanese manufactures shift production sites from Japan to overseas areas, among different overseas areas, and eventually back to Japan, logistics have globalize their processes in order to supply international and domestic demand. This study considers three factors for these shifts : cost, demand, and risk. Moreover, the current situation of Japanese manufactures' shifts occurred in the 1990's are analyzed.
