Abstract
We have investigated the pathway to the Laser Fusion Energy (LFE) as the primary energy for the
society, which is essentially important for the Green Earth. The next step toward the fusion power plant
is the engineering development of the elements for the LFE and their integration. The integrated system
development will open new applications to the sciences and the industries in a wide range of fields such
as high energy density physics, manufacturing, nuclear material processing, space, and medical
engineering with the high-repetition high-power lasers suitable for industrial uses.
