As a fi ber with extreme multiplexing ability, we fabricate seven-core fi ber whose cores can guide two LP modes. This fiber is also suitable for systems with multi-level modulation format due to its low nonlinearity. Characteristics of this fi ber and propagation of each mode are described in this paper.
