We studied the connection of a multi-core fiber (MCF). We fabricated a FC-type connector with a hexagonal-shaped cladding MCF and achieved an average connector loss of 0.51dB. Further reduction of the connection loss can be realized by using of the connector parts which have higher fabrication accuracy.
