Abstract
A three-dimensional display using binary phase modulation is reviewed. To improvement of the reconstructed image quality, two methods such as the optimization of the binary phase pattern and the intensity accumulation are proposed. In the optimization of binary phase pattern, the modified Fresnel ping-pong algorithm is presented. The intensity accumulation reduces the speckle noise. Numerical and experimental results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
