Fast Hologram Calculation for Electro-Holography

Abstract

This paper reviews fast calculation algorithms and hardware implementations for electro-holography. We review fast calculation algorithms that are mainly point cloud, polygon, multi-view image and RGB-D approaches. Subsequently, hardware implementations using field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and graphics processing units (GPUs) are overviewed. Fast algorithms and hardware implementations are highly necessary and will ensure the further development of electro-holography.
