We calculate computer-generated holograms (CGHs), whose calculation load is very heavy in MATLAB,
which has abundant analysis functions. In this study, we developed four methods to speed up CGH
calculation: (1) processing of point clouds as a matrix, (2) construction of a column-pixel matrix, (3)
calculation of CGHs with GPU, and (4) construction of a row-pixel matrix. As a result, there was 453
times speeding up in comparison with that with the conventional method.
