Optical Frequency Comb Synthesizer & Analyzer Applied to Ultrafast Optical Waveform Control and Dispersion Measurement

Abstract

We applied an optical frequency comb synthesizer and analyzer to ultrafast arbitrary waveform generation and its analysis in the Terabit/s speed range and demonstrated optical signal processing of phase shift-keying in addition to amplitude modulation signals. Our proposed system, which can acquire the spectral phase parallel on a frequency axis, confirmed its advantage over dispersion spectrum measurement.
