Abstract
Terahertz (THz) waves have characteristics represented by the transparency of radio waves to nonpolarized substances and good reflectivity of light waves to metal. We created a database of THz permeability characteristics for industrial materials and successfully constructed non-contact and noninvasive inspection technologies using THz wave sources. Non-destructive THz testing is suitable for the diagnosis of insulated copper cable, building blocks, painted steel surfaces, and polymer.
