A multicolor laser radar system with pseudo-random modulation method has been constructed. The transmittersystem is formed of the composite structure of multicolor Ar ion laser, a telescope and a optical fibercable. The receiver system consists of a telescope and a grating polychromator. The microcomputer systemassociated with multichannel counters (4095 CH) with photon counting method and the homemade correlationcomputer have been developed for real time data processing. Ability and versatility of this system have beendemonstrated with 100 mW transmitting laser power in a measurement of aerosol fuming up to 1 km.
