Excitation energy transfer in restricted molecular geometries has been studied with vesicle surface, Langmuir-Blodgett monolayers and multilayers and a biological antenna pigment system. Picosecond time-resolved fluorescence spectra and decay curves revealed time behaviors of the excitation transfer characteristic of two-dimensional and stacking architectures. Distribution of guest molecules forms Fractal or Fractal-like structures in artificial molecular assemblies.
