A new system for directly producing impurity-free high-temperature deuterium plasmas within any type of magnetic containers has been constructed and operated, inwhich an on-line computer control technique is utliized to capture a falling deuterium ice-pellet by pulsed laser beam. Some experimental results on the fundamental properties of plasmas produced are presented.
