Abstract
This report concerns studies on a new enricher used in GC/MS analysis. This enricher uses a filter made by sintering fine particles of stainless steel. The enricher was found to have a stable high performance, with a sample transmission yield of 35%(fluctuation, ± 10%)and an enrichment of× 200. To test the stability of this enricher with respect to samples, studies were made on aldehyde, alcohol, acetate, sulfide and chloride, as a result of which their pattern coefficients were found to be the same as those obtained using glass reservoir type inlet system. High resolution mass spectra of terpens were obtained by the GC/MS method, with the aid of this enricher.
