Abstract
The mass spectra of2-chlorosantonin and14-chlorosantonin have been determined at high resolution. In each compound, the elimination of lactone(M-C3H5O2), chlorine(M-C1), and methyl group (M-CH3)are observed. On the other hand, m/e237undergo fragmentation C13H14O2C1 into2-chloro- santonin, and m/e229undergo fragmentation C14H13O3into14-chlorosantonin.
