Effect of Precipitation of Impurities during Annealing on the Rate of Recovery and Recrystallization in 1050 Aluminum Hot-Rolled Sheets

Hideo Yoshida and Yoshimasa Ookubo

In the above paper, a mistake was discovered in the values of activation energy due to a miscalculation after publication. Therefore, the sentence from line 17 to line 31 is changed as follows. The corrected values and sentence are underlined. As a result of this correction, the reference No. 26 is removed. The conclusion does not change even if this correction is made.

The activation energy of recovery and recrystallization is 142.8 kJ/mol and 199.7 kJ/mol, respectively. Impurities in the 1050 aluminum in this study are mainly silicon and iron. The activation energy of silicon and iron is about 124∼136 kJ/mol and 135∼258 kJ/mol, respectively, according to Hirano24) and 136 or 123 kJ/mol and 221 or 258 kJ/mol, respectively, according to Fujikawa.25) These data are the activation energy of the lattice diffusion. The activation energy obtained in this study is roughly consistent with that of the lattice diffusion.
