Abstract
The tetrahedrally close-packed structure of the μ-phase of Co7Mo6 has been investigated by the many-beam imaging with [110] axial illumination. Twinnings, stacking faults and other structure defects have been revealed in terms of characteristic coordination polyhedrons with the aid of multislice computations. Occurrence of the P-phase structure is found at the composition of 44 at%Mo. Simulated images based on the structure models agree well with the observations.
