In recent years, inorganic membrane, especially zeolite membrane has attracted many attentions because of itspossibility of saving energy and reducing CO2emissions in the separation and the concentration processes. A newhigh silica zeolite membrane named MSM–1 (Mitsubishi high Silica Membrane–1)has high pervaporation perform-ance for the separation of various organic solvents and water mixtures even under acid conditions. MSM–1 has alsohigh gas separation performance, especially for CO2/CH4separation.
