Abstract
ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) is a water treatment process that aims to reduce wastewater efficiently and produce clean water that is suitable for reuse. Nitto Denko launched some RO/NF products and is developing new product for this application. Innovative ZLD system using NF membranes has been developed. By using PRO–XS1 after high pressure RO, the ZLD process eliminates the need for an evaporator. The operation cost can be reduced by approximately 80% compared to conventional processes.
