Abstract

The changes of catecholamine granule membrane treated with anti-chromomembrin B, anti-DOPA and preimmunized serum were examined.
Passive haemagglutination reaction and its inhibition reaction using antiserum against etiocholenic acid or cholesterol succinate were carried out. Electrophoretic analysis with the granule membranes treated by antisera was also examined.
From the results of immunological experiments, the ring A of cholesterol was exposed on the membrane of native catecholamine granule. On the other hand, no cholesterol was observed on the granule membrane treated with the antiserum against chromomembrin B or DOPA. The electrophoretic mobility of native membrane has been faster than that of the membrane treated with antisera. This result suggests the changes on an electric charge of the granule membrane for immunological stimulation.
