How a person's walking course change just after avoiding an obstacle is one of the questions in our walking simulation model. In this paper the characteristics of pedestrian behavior are analyzed with the data on actual behavior. The results are summarized as follows: 1) In free walking, the force pulling close to buildings is stronger than the force pulling to the left of the path. Therefore people walking in both directions stay close to the building side. 2) The pedestrians' position after passing each other exceedingly separated from the original locus. 3) It was shown that there is a tendency for pedestrians to return to the original locus again just after passing each other.
